John G. "Jack" Sinclair
Honorary President, 2007—present
President of CSAC, 1987—1991
- One of the Sinclairs from Goshen in Guysborough County, Nova
Scotia, and an active member of the Clan together with his brothers
Harold and Bill, he is now resident in Halifax.
- Prime mover and founder member of both Clan Sinclair Canada
and the Clan Sinclair Society of Nova Scotia.
- Prime mover and main organizer of the 1998 Celebration
of the 600th Anniversary of the arrival on our shores of
Prince Henry Sinclair in 1398.
- Appointed Honorary President of the Association at the 2007 Gathering
in Prince Edward Island.

W. E. "Bill" Sinclair
Past President, 2003—present
President of CSAC, 1995—2003
- Born at Goshen, Guysborough Co., Nova Scotia where six generations of
Sinclairs have made their homes after receiving land grants dating from 1816.
- Married to Jean P. Myers (also from Guysborough County) and they have
retired to Halifax in their native Nova Scotia. Bill and Jean have three
sons: Scott, Ian and Robert.
- Graduate of St. Peter's High School, Cape Breton
and of Dalhousie University where he received a Bachelor's
Degree in History and Psychology.
- Director, Canadian Immigration Historical Society.
- Joined Canada's foreign Service following graduate study
at Carleton University, Ottawa.
- During 34 years with Canada's foreign service, served as:
- Counsellor Immigration, London, England;
- Counsellor Immigration and Deputy High Commissioner, Hong Kong, with
accreditation to China and Macau;
- Canadian High Commissioner to Guyana; and
- Ambassador to Suriname, South America.

Rory Angus Peter Sinclair
President of CSAC, 2003—present
Secretary-Treasurer, 1995—2003
Editor, Roslin O Roslin, 1995—2002
- Born 1946 in Toronto, third son of Edward and
Roselma Sinclair, founders
of the Clan Sinclair Association of Canada.
- Honours BS degree in Political Science and Economics from the
University of Toronto, 1968.
- Lived in Malaysia as an owner-operator of a fabric and clothing
exporting business, 1971-79.
- Part of a collective that operated a renovation business, 1979-88,
and was involved in the freeing from jail for a wrongful conviction
of Rubin
"Hurricane" Carter, the subject of the 2000 movie Hurricane
starring Denzel Washington.
- A director of the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC).
- 1988-present, owner-operator of Sinclair-Cunningham and Associates,
a firm primarily involved in renovations, additions and restoration in older
homes in downtown Toronto.
- 1992-present, Harbord Village Residents Association board member,
President since 1999; 1993-present, founding member HVRA
Fall Fair Committee, Chair since 2000. [Harbord Village is a downtown Toronto
neighborhood.]
- Re-joined the Association in 1991 and became Secretary Treasurer in 1995.
- Has a great interest in Sinclair history and Scottish History. Collects
books on early travels to and in Scotland.
- Plays the Great Highland Bagpipes competitively in Grade II, plays
smallpipes in several folk groups in Toronto.

Antonia (Toni) Sinclair

Vice-President, Southern Ontario, 1998—present
"The position of Roslin O Roslin editor
is a great learning experience for me, and I enjoy corresponding with
many of our members.
"I've retired from my free–lance floral design business,
and have taken up genealogy with a vengeance. I've traced
our branch of the family to a wee island in the Hebrides called Islay,
and have discovered that many other Canadian Sinclairs emigrated from
there as well. I'm currently compiling A History of the
Sinclairs of Islay, which takes up much of my time. Woody, my golden
retriever, is my constant side–kick — and I have his genealogy
back 7 generations! I also love to garden, and will be taking up
golf."

Glen Sinclair
Vice-President, Central Ontario, 1995—present
- Born in Glasgow but grew up near Blairgowrie, Perthshire. Came
to Canada because of the opportunities to work here as a geologist.
- Studied geology at the University of Edinburgh (B.Sc.) and the
University of St. Andrews (Ph.D.).
- Worked in geological projects in every province of Canada except PEI,
also in Jamaica, Greenland and the USA. Published over 20 papers on geological
topics in international scientific journals.
- While involved in oil exploration in northern BC, met future wife Virginia,
a Clan McLeod member from Kamloops. Two daughters, Nicola and Pamela, both
Highland Dancers.
- The longest-standing member of the Association - first joined CSAC in
the early 1980s, when Eddie and Roselma Sinclair were still active.
- 1989-present, CSAC delegate to the Clans and Scottish Societies
of Canada.
- 1989-present, independent geological and mineralogical consultant.
- 1990-1993, Chairman of Ontario's Geological Research Review Committee.
- 1994-present, volunteer museum guide, Royal Ontario Museum.
"I play a bit of Scottish Dance music on the accordion and have been
known to perform at one of the McLeod ceilidhs or some other local function.
"Virginia and I attend the Winter meeting, without fail, every year.
We also try to get to a few of the Highland Games in Ontario every summer
- especially Fergus, where I enjoy marching with the Sinclairs in the Parade
of the Clans."

Jim Sinclair
Secretary of CSAC, 2007—present
President, Clan Sinclair Association (Western Canada),
2004—2008
- Born and raised in Vancouver BC, a descendant of the Sinclairs
of Goshen in Guysborough county, Nova Scotia.
- Married to Arlene, and together they enjoy gardening and travelling.
Two sons, Chris and Tim.
- Graduate of UBC with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree, major
in Food Science.
- Worked 33 years for a multi-national grocery chain ending up as Director
of Plant Operations overseeing 18 food processing plants. During this time,
lived in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Edmonton and finally back in the Vancouver
area.
- Served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Dairy Council
of Canada. Lifetime member of the Alberta Dairy Association, and member of the
BC Dairy Council.
- Formed his own business in 1996 and operates a franchise for a financial
services company from his home office.
- Member of the Clan Sinclair Association of Canada since the early 1980s.
- Interested in genealogy and Scottish history.

Ian A. Sinclair

- Ian A. (Alexander) Sinclair, married 40 years to Wendy with
one daughter, Andrea.
- Residing in Richmond Hill, Ontario since 1971.
- Member of Clan Sinclair Association Canada since 1995.
- "We enjoyed the 2000 Gathering of the Clan."
- Retired after 33 years of teaching in Toronto public elementary
and secondary schools.
- Life-long student of the outdoors and the wonders of Nature.
- Academic: B.A., University of Toronto; B.P.E. (Physical Ed.)
McMaster University; M.Ed., University of Toronto.
- Secretary, Lodge of Fellowship No. 702 G.R.C. A.F. & A.M.,
PM, PDDGM, Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario.
At CSAC's 2007 Gathering in Prince Edward Island, Ian A. Sinclair was
appointed an Honorary Life Member of the Association for meritorious service
to the Clan, namely his many articles and book reviews for our newsletter
Roslin O Roslin, his four years as Secretary
— "a job which he performed with spirit and great reliability"
— and many other services rendered to our Association.

Robert Malcolm "Mac" Sinclair

- Born 9 Sep 1921 at Tillsonburg ON, son of Isabella Selkirk and
Robert J. Sinclair, a descendant of the Sinclairs of Scotch Corners.
Two brothers, Archibald J. Sinclair and Donald L. Sinclair.
One sister, M.A. Jean Tololla of Komoka ON.
- Graduated in 1942 from the Royal Military College of Canada, in Kingston ON.
RMC awarded him an honorary BSc (Mil.) in 1994.
- Married M. Eileen Anglin, 20 February 1943. Four children: Robert Malcolm
Sinclair (Jr.), St John's NL; the late Nancy Eileen (Staveley) Neill of
Kingston ON; Douglas Gordon Sinclair, Ottawa ON; Carol Ann (MacKay) Watters,
Constance Bay ON.
- Military service during World War II at various postings in Canada,
including Petawawa Ontario and Nanaimo BC, as well as in England, Belgium and
Holland. Post-war: Princess of Wales Own Regiment (PWOR) Reserve, Kingston.
Canadian Forces Decoration (CD).
- Graduated in 1948 from Queen's University of Kingston: Bachelor of Commerce.
- Worked in life insurance sales and management, London Life and Confederation
Life; and at S. Anglin Co. Ltd., independent fuel oil and energy product distributor
in Kingston.
- Board of Education for the City of Kingston. Retired in 1985 as Business Manager
and Secretary Treasurer, Frontenac County Board of Education.
- Part-time Community member, Ontario Board of Parole.
- Community interests over the years include: Sydenham St. United Church,
Elder, Kirk of Session, Chm. Executive Committee; Board of Education for
the City of Kingston, Trustee; Hospice Kingston, President; RMC Club, President;
Kingston General Hospital, Chm. Angada Children's Hospital Committee; Masonic -
Minden Lodge, Ancient Scottish Rite; St John's Ambulance Association, Life
Member; Frontenac County Schools Museum, President; Clan Sinclair Association
of Canada, President and Life Hon. President; Queen's Alumni; Queen's Theological
College Board of Management; PWOR Association.
"During retirement, in 1992, I suffered a cerebral haemorrhage (stroke)
which curtailed my activities to a great extent. However, I found a satisfying
'new career' by volunteering for two mornings a week at Welborne Ave. Public
School, assisting Grade 3 teacher Beth Rines there. This I did for twelve years
until 2005."

At the 2005 Clan Sinclair Gathering in Scotland, the Clan Chief
awarded Mac Sinclair with the Clan Sinclair Medal for Service to Clan Sinclair Canada.

in Kingston Ontario on 29 March 2006.
