Harold & Mina's 60th Anniversary
Mina Hudson and Harold Sinclair were married in Country Harbour,
Nova Scotia, on July 31, 1948. In celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary,
there will be an open house at their home in Argyle, Guysborough County,
Nova Scotia on Saturday July 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Scotland Mini Gathering
The 4th International Gathering of Clan Sinclair, held in Britain 22 May to 29 May
2008, also celebrated the 30th Birthday of Lady Iona Sinclair, daughter of the Chief.

Happy New Year 2008
Welcome to 2008 (MMVIII), a leap year and the International
Year of Planet Earth.
There will be a total lunar eclipse the night of 20/21 February,
and a total solar eclipse on 01 August.
Expo 2008 will be in Zaragoza,
Spain, with the theme Water and sustainable development.
The 2008 Summer Olympics will be
in Beijing, China.
In Canada, the hated federal Goods and Services Tax, or GST
is being further reduced from six to five percent — it was seven
percent from 01 Jan 1991 until 01 July 2006. For information on
the GST, call the Canada Revenue Agency toll-free at 1-866-959-7797
or visit www.gst.gc.ca.
A year ago, the Canadian dollar was worth 86¢ in American currency;
it ended 2007 at $1.0088 US.
This year is the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec City.
